Beautiful ornate Emilian Wehrle Black Forest Trumpeter Clock. Circa 1885
I have recently come into possession of this beautiful Emilian Wehrle black forest trumpeter clock. But this is a bit like, 'You never actually own an antique Black Forest clock, you merely look after it for the next generation.' Any advice on looking after trumpeter clocks would be appreciated. Wonderful clock, You are correct , we are merely the guardians of the past , caretakers of time and space. It is we, each one of us, that must wake the next generation of guardians or simply we fail in everything that we have preserved.
To protect and care for your clock is my advice for today - learn how to protect the wood from environmental issues extremely heat and cold which will effect the case. It is also important that you " will " { Your passing } your clocks to the right people - I always tell people - my clients - to leave a note in their clocks who to contact, most of mine have put my contact info in side clock - others have instructions in their wills, due to having no children. Enjoy your journey.
